The Catholic Schools Office is committed to assisting i ts system of schools to prepare young people for tomorrow's world by expecting our schools to provide an education which is congruent with the values of the gospels and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
To realise such a system of education we must hold firmly in place a vision for the kinds of adults our young people need to become, and understand the principles that drive this vision.
As a system, we are committed to helping young people grow into adults who are:
- Spiritual
- Inquirers
- Thinkers
- Reflective
- Adaptable
- Knowledgeable
- Communicators
- Collaborative
- Principled
- Caring
- Global citizens
- Healthy
Our foundation and defining feature is Religious Education. We use Sharing Our Story as our primary resource. In each school the Religious Education Coordinator (REC) assists staff to implement the syllabus.
The subjects (Key Learning Areas) offered in our schools are approved by the New South Wales Board of Studies.
